(HNMO) - Hanoi’s GRDP surged by 7.35% year on year in the first 9 months of 2019. In which, GRDP expanded by 7% in Q1, 7.41% in Q2 and 7.61% in Q3.
The major contributors were industry, construction and services. Specifically, industry and construction climbed by 8.84% year on year, contributing 2.51 percentage point to the GDP increase. Service sector increased by 6.72% year on year, contributing 4.46 percentage point.
Other sectors kept stable growth rate. Aquatic products went up 6% against same period last year. Transportation met the travel demand of customerrs with revenue up by 11.8% year on year.
In terms of foreign investment attraction, Hanoi led 59 cities and provinces receiving foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first 9 months of this year by luring 6.15 billion USD, or 23.5% of the total FDI that Vietnam got in the period.
In three quarters of 2019, Vietnam’s economy also witnessed positive growth when GDP climbed nearly 7%, reaching its highest level for the last 9 years.
In which, industry and construction increased by 9.36%, contributing 52.6% to GDP and services increased by 6.85%, contributing 42.6%. The FDI sector reached 26.16 billion USD, at a growth rate of 8.4% from last year.
